As a Student Affairs Assistant at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, I handled student inquiries, designed graphics, led tours, and set up interactive events.
"Becca exceeded expectations in the areas of communication and problem solving in her first semester as a Student Affairs Assistant. She consistently communicated in a timely fashion to clarify instructions and coordinated with her supervisors ahead of time as needed." -Val, Student Affairs Assistant Director
Along with another intern, I worked closely with Lisa and her office. As an intern, I distributed unclaimed property, navigated the Constituent Tracking System, conducted outreach, answered casework questions, attended mobile office hours, familiarized myself with State resources, researched policy opportunities and current events, attended sustainability symposiums, prepared resources for town halls, observed live House sessions, and planned my own Sustainability event.
As an intern, I gained hands-on experience in various aspects of civil litigation at Zajac & Padilla Personal Injury Law. I was actively involved in the discovery process in multiple cases as I created deposition summaries, answered interrogatories, facilitated client calls, and established communication with medical offices and clients. I crafted motions, compiled Minor's compensation petitions, and submitted crucial 'need-to-know' documents.
Tufts retail dining and Germantown Cricket Club Snack Bar attendant. Quickly and accurately delivered orders to guests, took orders at the snack bar window, processed receipts. Maintained a clean kitchen workspace and welcoming environment, looked after restaurant parameters. The dining workers I met at Tufts are some of my favorite people.
I collaborated with a team of volunteers and interns on David McShane’s mural at James Rhoads Elementary School. I demonstrated adaptability in demanding outdoor summer working conditions. Through conversations with Dave and other collaborators, I learned the importance of valuing the worth of my artwork and its potential for social change. Being a muralist requires being in touch with the community you desire to serve and represent.
Cheer Philadelphia is a group of LGBTQIA+ and ally cheerleaders who volunteer our time to raise spirits, awareness, and funds for local charities and community organizations. Our mission is to unite athletics with action. We use the positivity in cheerleading to promote cheerleading and equality. As someone who has been cheerleading from a young age, it's incredible to bring joy and celebrate positive change with other adult athletes.
I petitioned with PSL volunteers to grow connections of solidarity in Boston. I attended the Boston Women's Socialism Conference and attended many protests with PSL.
I volunteered with Ready for 100, an organization under the Sierra Club, to pass a resolution for 100% clean energy in my township. I brought students to commissioner meetings for public comment, started a petition that collected hundreds of signatures, and presented a support video of students and teachers. I designed posters, event flyers, and the township’s commitment pledge.
I co-founded an environmental club for Radnor Senior High School. This group is comprised of over 100 student members, who engage in various projects to encourage environmental action and eco-friendliness in our community. Out of the club grew Climate Students, a coalition of young activists. We passed a clean energy resolution by the school board in Radnor.
When I lived in Radnor, I worked with the Darby Creek Valley Association during the fall and spring seasons to restore a local wetland. We cut invasive vines, planted trees, and managed the wetland to make it more inviting to pollinators and beneficial to the local ecosystem.
As a volunteer member of the student chapter, I attended local forums and seminars, handed out bipartisan voting information, encouraged voting registration, among other community involvement activities.
From 2018-2021, I was involved in the campaign to change Radnor's mascot, which was the "Raider" accompanied by a Native American symbol. Students have since decided a new mascot and symbol, the "raptors".
